We frequently receive questions about similarities between select Legion Fitness Equipment products and equipment previously produced by Tuff Stuff Fitness. We welcome the opportunity to provide clear background and transparency.

First and foremost, Legion Fitness Equipment did not purchase Tuff Stuff Fitness and has no formal affiliation with the company.

However, our ownership has a long history with the brand. Fitness 4 Home Superstore — a sister company of Legion under the same ownership — was a Tuff Stuff distributor for more than 20 years and one of its largest dealers worldwide. Through that relationship, we developed a deep understanding of which designs customers valued most and why they performed so well in real-world training environments.

When Tuff Stuff ceased operations, we saw an opportunity to preserve some of the industry’s most proven equipment designs rather than allow them to disappear. Select concepts were thoughtfully reintroduced within the Legion product lineup, updated with modern styling, new accessories, enhanced features, and more competitive pricing — while maintaining the level of quality customers expect.

Before moving forward, we carefully ensured there were no patent or intellectual property conflicts. In fact, Legion licenses the double-cable pulley patent used on the Centurion CFT Corner Functional Trainer.

These revived designs represent only a portion of the Legion brand. Legion continues to invest heavily in developing new, original products that reflect our long-term vision for innovation and performance.

We didn’t reinvent the wheel — we simply made a great one even better.
