All-in-one home gyms are compact strength training machines that combine multiple pieces of equipment into one, providing users with a total-body workout in one machine. All-in-one home gyms save space, and provide a safe, convenient workout environment for exercising and training in the comfort and convenience of your own home.
All-in-one strength trainers are built around a power rack or half rack foundation, combined with a counter balanced smith machine, cable functional trainer, chin-up bar, landmine, lat pulldown, low row, dip handles, vertical leg press, and cable attachments.
- Power Rack/ Half Rack: A power rack or half rack is a great station for compound free weight exercises, like squats, bench press, and deadlifts, that target major muscle groups. It also provides a safe way for lifting heavy weights at home.
- Smith Machine: like a Power Rack, but a bar is attached to a fixed guide rod that tracks vertical movement, making it safer and easier to control the movement while working out alone at home. A counterbalanced smith machine offsets the weight of the bar with a counterweight and allows users a lighter starting weight.
- Functional Trainer: a cable system connected to two weight stacks or plates that allow you to perform a variety of cable exercises, including cable crossovers, triceps extensions, bicep curls, core, lat pulldowns, and many other movements.
- Pull-Up Bar: a fixed bar at the top of the frame allows you to perform pull-ups to target your back, biceps, and shoulders.
- Landmine: an attached station that allows you to perform core exercises and rotational movements, such as landmine presses, such as landmine presses and Russian twists.
- Lat Pulldown: this targets your back and shoulders, allowing you to perform lat pulldowns cable rows, and even triceps press downs.
- Low Row: a machine that targets your back and biceps, allowing you to perform rows and other pulling exercises.
- Dip Handles: an attachment to do dips and other exercises that target your triceps and chest. They’re also great for push-ups, leg and knee raises, targeting your core.
Other attachments that you might want to consider when purchasing and All-in-one trainer.
- Vertical Leg Press: this attachment targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and builds lower body strength.
- Jammer Arms: this attachment is plate loaded arms that attach to the frame allowing you to perform a variety of pressing and pulling movements, such chest press, shoulder press, and row movements.
- Suspension trainer: a popular option for body weight training exercises that target multiple muscle groups.
Some all-in-one home gyms come with these attachments, while others offer them as add-ons. Choose the one that fits your fitness goals and budget.
